two
story
NPS cab
Access:
an easy 3 mile hike is necessary to reach the LO, it is signed
several times, but it is best to pick up a free map at the visitors center
Road conditions: the
road to the Sunrise Visitors Center is paved
Interior:
the cab is furnished with propane lighting, a stove, and possibly
heater, two beds, a table, and shelves are also present
Other structures on summit: none, propane tanks are portable
Electrical power source: a solar panel is present to power the
radio repeater housed in the LO, as well as two florescent lights in the cab
Other:
for some reason the tower is not located on the summit, rather
slightly lower on the ridge, the view is likely excellent, although it was
fogged in during my visit
